Platen displacement system:
2 independent controls with adjustable speed and position
a) Upper platen:
Closing speed:1.0 ft/sec (±0.1ft/sec) minimum(suggested power~70 HP)
Closing force during platen travel: 20 tons (±2tons)
Platen stroke: 30 in.(±1in)
b) Bottom platen:
Closing speed 0.50 ft/sec (±0.1 ft/sec) minimum (suggested power ~20HP)
Closing force during platen travel (to be defined~ 4 tons).
Platen stroke: 24 in.(±1in)
Daylight: Each platen will close to within 12" of sheet line.
Clamping with applied force system to reach 200 tons min. (high pressure oil cells or air bags)
Cycle time:
In single thermoforming/compression forming using a 24" stroke of top platen, the time from the end of sheet heating to the full compression of the sheet (with force up to 200 tons) should be less than or equal to 5 sec.( ±0.5 sec)
These units are coming out of the Canadian National research council in Quebec Canada. They have seen very little use. Most of the paint is still on the steps. They all have operators manuals. They were not used for production. You will not find cleaner machines anywhere.
